THE TONY SMITH SCULPTURE PROJECT
Tony Smith was one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. A sculptor, painter, and architect who apprenticed with Frank Lloyd Wright, he reached international fame in the 1960s and 1970s with his large-scale, geometric sculpture. Smith created many of his famous sculptures in his original childhood home in South Orange, New Jersey. › Learn More
TAU, a monumental sculpture by Tony Smith, is located in beautiful Meadowland Park, in the heart of South Orange Village.
Free and open to all, it joins a host of established community arts venues and programs — among them the Pierro Gallery, the Giants of Jazz concert series, and the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) — that make the town a vibrant arts destination.
